Our 30-minute trial flying lesson is an enjoyable introduction to the exciting world of aviation.

• Introduction to flying – for one
• You’ll be given a 15-minute pre-flight briefing from your flight instructor, so you know what to expect from your lesson
• 10 minutes taxiing and engine checks
• A 30-minute flight in a two-seater aircraft
• Your instructor will give you the control of the aeroplane and guide you on how to fly in steady flight, and you’ll be able to experience gentle turns and view the local area, before your instructor retakes the controls and lands the plane.

Enjoy views from the air of the local area. Depending on preferences, the weather and your instructor’s guidance, you could see local sights including:

• Cannock Chase, Abbots Bromley reservoir, Alton Towers resort
• If you live locally, we may even be able to fly over your home

• Debrief of lesson
• Certificate and photograph to take home
• Your flying time will also be eligible to count towards your flying hours for a Private Pilot’s Licence

Extend your stay with our airfield café, serving hot and cold meals throughout the day. Accompanying friends and family can relax in the café during your flight and they will be able to watch your take-off and landing, as the café has views of the runway.

Terms and Conditions
Usual lesson pricing £115. For the first flying lesson, only £100. Voucher can be used once per person. For one person with an instructor.  Turnaround for the email of e-vouchers is normally 2 working days. All vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and are non-refundable. You can start training from age 14, fly solo at 16, and hold a PPL from age 17. If a student is under 18, a signed Parental/Guardian Consent Form must be returned before the flight. This will be sent to you during the booking process. The minimum age for a flying lesson is 14 years old and tall enough to reach and operate all controls safely. Flight time can be logged towards a future Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL). There isn’t a maximum age for participants, as long as you are physically able to board and exit the aircraft safely. Weight and height limits vary depending on the aircraft type.
