As you will be well aware, we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here at Tatenhill Aviation we believe, like other businesses, that we should be proactive in reducing the risk of it spreading.

As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve, we want you to know that your health, safety, and welfare of our user community and employees are our primary concerns. We would like to reassure our customers that Tatenhill Aviation is taking every measure at our disposal to ensure the highest possible standards of awareness and cleanliness.

Alongside our usual hygiene standards, we have introduced the following procedures:

  • All regularly touched surfaces (door handles, work tops etc) are being cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaner throughout the day.
  • Staff are regularly washing their hands throughout the day and using hand sanitiser in between washes.
  • Hand sanitiser is available throughout customer areas, to use at will.
  • We will also clean aircraft door handles, control columns (the bits people touch) twice a day.

Currently, we do not plan to close the centre unless we are told to do so. As a result, it is business as usual and we will be flying weather permitting.

If you’re booked in for a flying lesson or flight experience with us and are experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms or have been instructed to self-isolate, then of course please do not attend. HOWEVER, please do make sure to let us know by email: or by phone 01283 575283 if you will not be attending.

If the above affects you, then of course there will be no late-rescheduling fee on this occasion. You will be able to re-book for a date after the recommended isolation period or next available slot.

If you are attending the flying club, we simply ask for you to follow the NHS and Government guidelines…

✅ Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds

✅ Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze

✅ Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards

✅ Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

If you see someone who is unwell, please inform a member of staff.

Thank you, and we hope to see you at Tatenhill Aviation Ltd soon!
